Today was a busy day trying to get adapted to iMovie and all of it's components. I remember people saying they thought it was more difficult than Garageband but I'm feeling like after you've done one mac program you can do them all! That's probably a really good thing since I am feeling the crunch on all of the projects we have going on right now.
Our video project is off to a pretty good start. It just takes a really long time to first design your ideas (which you will eventually change), film, make slides/extras, do audio and then finally edit. I knew a lot went into making a video but it's that much more challenging when you only have 3 days in which to do it. I am glad that I decided to have a partner, even though I know groups can be hard to organize on such a short notice. Working in groups always allows for immediate feedback and opinions during the creation process. It's always nice to have someone thinking of the things your not. I think this movie will pay off in the end but it's going to be a long road getting there.
I love Mac programs. They ARE user-friendly. I haven't even started laying down track yet, but I'm not scared about it because it's a Mac program.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, making a movie is a huge process! Planning, designing, and the editing! The editing always seems to take the longest in my opinion. I hope you guys are having fun with it though!
Having a partner for this kind of work is great! Two brains are always better than one in a creative process. Each brings something different to the table.
Yeah, I also didn't realize how difficult the project was going to be. But, we're learning. I can't wait to see your imovie.
ReplyDeleteYour right Tiffany we are learning. I learned through the creation of my movie project that it can be a useful process when using it in an educational setting. In order to create a video you must have information about a topic and be able to either interpret that knowledge through scenes you film yourself or be able to know enough about your topic to find other clips that provide information. Natalie, I can't wait to see how partner work went for you!
